A large majority of us who are looking at this subject already know we are in trouble health wise. I, for one, had a warning from my doctor telling me I needed to loose weight or be on blood pressure pills for the rest of my life. As I have never been a pill pusher, I decided to look around and find ways to help myself. To be honest, I love my steak and things like butter and bacon for breakfast. And yes, I am just as guilty as all the rest, in that I like the sweet stuff. So my body was really in need of a detox and to get rid of those 20 or 30 lbs. On line research has never been easier and the wealth of information out there is enormous. The trouble comes in deciding which is true and valid, and which is just made up junk. A few views of medical journals and a great deal of reading on health over a few days decided me that the way to go was with green smoothie recipes. Here was the answer to detoxify my body of junk and at the same time trimming off extra fat.

The secret here is the liver. Now I do not profess to be a doctor or to be a know it all. I am a normal everyday person like you. All I did was go online and do some research to find out what others had found helpful.

I needed someone who knew the truth about what foods had worked to eliminate fat by detoxifying the body, but at the same time kept me healthy with a balanced diet. You see over the years I had found crash diets DO NOT work in the long run. You go on a diet which to say the least of it, is unhealthy. You loose 10 lbs, mostly water, your body screams out ‘you are starving me of what I need’ and starts storing up fat the second it can and you end up gaining 20 lbs. We have all heard of yoyo diets and that’s exactly what you don’t want. Note: I said small quantities. Not three plates full just because you like the taste.

Now we all have certain problems with foods we either don’t like or that we might be allergic to. I know I do. This meant I needed to work around these foods. You need to find alternative foods that give you the same or similar nutrients. I am not at all knowledgeable about the nutritional values of vegetable or fruits. This is what you need for smoothie recipes. You need the right fruits or vegetables, in the right ratio. It’s no good just making carrot smoothies or peach smoothies. Sure is will give you a nice filler but will it be doing the right job? The fact is when you need to detox your body you need the right formula which will clean the fats out of your body using good healthy smoothie recipes and to get the recipes right you need help. This takes into account what you might be allergic to, what foods you can’t even stand the thought of and it still gives you a balanced diet that won’t break the bank.

Now I know misery likes company, but actually it helps to discuss any problems you might have with other folks. With this in mind I also looked at that fact. I mean sometimes you just like to boost that you lost three lbs and saying it to family and friends usually just gets raised eyebrows. I was being very sensible about all the problems I had faced previously when on diet. I know the fact that I lost three lbs would only be met with the dry comment of ‘where’. And there is honestly nothing more disheartening. So I know its only 1 tenth of what I need to loose but at least it is a start. This meant I needed a community with the same goals and objectives. I found that along the way and a friend’s husband tried it with great results. Bet I made you laugh but it is a fact.

I had my criteria that had to be met and I wasn’t at all sure I would find it. I mean I was asking to have my hand held through months of moans and groans. Smoothie recipes were obviously a must.
